What is a Guardian Home?

To give our breeding dogs the best life, we limit the amount of dogs we have in our home, but to breed the best dogs, we need to add new bloodlines. Our Guardian Home Program solves this by placing our dogs in homes as cherished family members.

Dogs are health tested at around 1 year old, and if cleared, we'll start preparing their breeding future!

On their first heat cycle after 18 months old, they'll come to us for breeding, every other day 2 times. Females stay with their Guardian homes until the 8th week of pregnancy then the dog is returned to us a few days before their due date to deliver puppies. She will stay with us until her puppies are completely weaned (4-6 weeks), then she can go back home (visits are welcome while she's with us)!

We will take him with us to be bred with approved females, sometimes on short notice, the breeding process is short however. This could happen as often as twice a month, or as little as once a year. This requires flexibility and willingness to let us take him with us to breeding and vet appointments at any time.

As a Guardian Home, you'll monitor your female for signs of a heat cycle, and communicate with use for a successful breeding! We cover all breeding expenses, while you cover "pet" expenses, just like any other dog.

Our Guardian Home program is a "win-win" situation. Our Guardian Family's receive a high quality puppy free of charge in return for working with Bows & Ties Doodles during the breeding years of the dog, and we have the satisfaction of knowing that our breeding dogs are living life as cherished family members. Our Guardian Families receive $$ for each litter the dog produces/sires as a "Thank you" gift.
